The words you use are different to the ones I know

There are many dialects in our languages. Two neighbouring communities can have different words and translations. Just because it's different, doesn't mean they're wrong.

We acknowledge these differences by stating the name and community of our translators, with their permission.

Are you going to do more languages?

Yes, our goal is to expand into more Indigenous languages! This process can be lengthy.

Proper connections must be made and we treat our creation process with care, especially when it comes to regions and nations we are not familiar with.

If you know anyone who may be interested in collaborating on translations, they can reach out at aaniin@giigidomikinaak.ca

Can I train these words on AI?

No. Our languages are a gift and this directly takes jobs away from Indigenous communities. Language is more than just words. It's action and reciprocity. You need to build a relationship with the languages, not steal from them.
